Alethea Williams 89, of Columbus, MS, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital- GT in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mt. Vernon Church, Columbus, MS. Service will be Monday, April 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Vernon Church, Columbus, MS. Interment will follow.

Mrs. Williams was born on November 16, 1934, in Columbus, MS, to the late Thames "Timmy" Crayton Bonner and Mamie Lou Holliman Bonner. Mrs. Williams worked as an accountant for many years. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Church in Columbus, MS. She was the most Godly woman anyone has ever met and a treasure to her family for so many years. Mrs. Williams is now enjoying the reward she earned! Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband- David Harold "Shorty" Williams; son- David Harold "Sonny" Williams, Jr.; daughter- Julia Ann "Sissy" Richards; sister- Evelyn Tilley; and brother- Willis Bonner.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her son- Kevin (Qian) Williams; grandchildren- Jonathan Williams, Danielle Williams, Abbye Williams, brother- Wayne (Cissie) Bonner, and granddog- Alfred.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Williams, Tim Bonner, Tyler Bonner, Mike Williams, Ben Williams, Richard Bonner, James Zhou, and Jimmy Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bruce Stokes, Wayne Bonner, Butch Edmondson, Wayne McKellar, Hubert Pridmore, George Burchfield, and previous members of her 7th grade Sunday School Class.
