Alisa Joy McMullin, 47, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, September, 9, 2015 at her residence. Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm with Bro. Billy Ferguson officiating in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery, Montpelier, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. McMullin was born January 5, 1968 to Dorothy McDaniel Medlin and the late Dewey Sampson Medlin in Pickens County, AL. She was a homemaker and self-employed at Giggle Babies for two years. She was member of the Church of Christ and loved to teach Sunday School to the baby class. Mrs. McMullin was a member of PAWS, and she used her dog, Spencer, as a pet therapy dog to go to nursing homes. She also was a huge Alabama fan. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her father-in-law Carley Gene McMullin. Mrs. McMullin is survived by her husband of 17 years-Timothy J. McMullin, Columbus, MS; mother-Dorothy Medlin-Montgomery, AL; mother-in-law-Julie F. McMullin; son-Logan McMullin, Columbus, MS, sister-June Medlin Moss, Knox City, TX; and brother-Randy Medlin, Montgomery, AL. Pallbearers will be Kevin Watkins, Bill West, Don Cole, Steve Whitten, Bill Ellington, and Joey McMullin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Moss, Gerald Werner, Arthur Morgan, David Sampson, Chris Sampson, All Employees of Air Control Engineering, Ralph McLain.
