Allyson Leigh Rutherford, 30, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, MS.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 29, 2015, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cook Elementary School Auditorium, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jody Andrews officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Ms. Rutherford was born December 8, 2015, to Lawrence Denson "Denny" and Elsie Dawson Rutherford in Kosciusko, MS. She was a member of Life Church, Columbus, MS, Columbus Choral Society, and Kappa Delta Epsilon Society. Ms. Rutherford was a 2nd-grade teacher at Cook Elementary School for the  past 3 years. She is preceded in death by her sister- Tamara Renee Rutherford; maternal grandparents- Carlos and Eva Dawson; paternal grandparents- Hal Burnon Rutherford, Ramona Russell, and James D. Russell.

Ms. Rutherford is survived by her parents- Denny and Elsie Rutherford of Columbus, MS; sister- Emily (Scott) Burns of Tupelo, MS; brothers- Chris (Crystal) Rutherford, Taylor (Sherrie) Rutherford both of Columbus, MS; nieces- Caitlyn Rutherford, Haleigh Rutherford, Hannah Burns; nephews- Jace Burns and William Rutherford.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Dawson III, Frank Dawson, Christian Benton, Kevin Kalinowski, Jared Pierce, and Robert Sanderson. Honorary Pallbearers will be the students of her second-grade class at Cook Elementary.
