Alta Watt Cook, 73 of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center, - Tupelo.

Mrs. Cook was born April 20, 1948 in Macon, MS to the late Carroll Little and Flarrie Strait Watt.  She worked as a claims agent with the Mississippi Unemployment Office for 30 years.  Mrs. Cook was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. She loved her husband and family.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her brother – Carroll (Sonny) Little Watt.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband – Douglas Cook; sons – Toby (Virginia) Cook and Damon Cook and daughter – Melissa (Bo) Buxton; sisters – Peggy (Bobby) Simmons, Betsy (Jimmy) Holley and Jane (Ed) Howell; grandchildren – Kera (John) Wicker, Arli Cook, Chevy Cook, Bren Cook, Justin Cook, Seth Cook,  and Graham Buxton.
