Amy Oswalt Marcotte, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away at LSU Hospital in Shreveport, LA after lengthy illness. A gathering for family and friends was at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014. A visitation will be held at Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus, MS from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 and Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Columbus, MS. Amy was born August 24, 1970. She was the daughter of Billy Oswalt (deceased), Linda Oswalt Fultz and husband Kent "PaPa" of Brandon, MS. She graduated from Caldwell High in 1988. Amy was in the band and flag line; she lettered in softball and played for many years. Amy worked for and managed Hollydale Health Foods in Columbus, MS until she moved to Louisiana in 1998. She is also survived by three daughters, Lindsey and Leah, their dad, Jeff Marcotte and Brandi Calaway Arnette (Dan); grandchildren, Cru and Harley, all of Bossier City, LA; sister, Joni Oswalt Quick (Robert) of Seymour, TN and brother, Neal Oswalt (Lisa) of Columbus, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to an organization of donor's choice.
