Anita Kim Hitchock, 62, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, December 30, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS

A memorial service will be Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 11:00 AM at First Assembly of God, Columbus, MS with Bro. Derek Youngblood officiating.

Mrs. Hitchcock was born January 23, 1957, in Noxapater, MS to Helen Adams Garrard and the late Homer Lee Garrard.  She was a member of First Assembly of God in Columbus, MS. She worked as a seamstress at The Garment Plant in Caledonia, MS and she worked in retail as a cashier for many years. Mrs. Hitchcock enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her father, Mrs. Hitchcock is preceded in death by her son-Jason Hitchcock and two brothers- Joe Garrard and Donnie Garrard.

Mrs. Hitchcock is survived by her husband- Elvin Lewis Hitchcock of Columbus, MS; daughter- Janie (Lance) Skelton of Carrollton, AL; grandchild- Lanie Skelton; mother- Helen Adams Garrard; brothers- Jerry Garrard and Toby Garrard; and a host of nieces and nephews.
