Ann Hamiter Clark Barksdale, 97, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, in Columbus, MS.  A visitation will be held Monday, February 20, 2023, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 1791 Lake Lowndes Road Columbus, MS. from 11- 1 with the funeral service at 1 PM.  The interment will be in the Mount Vernon Church Cemetery.

A native of Carrollton, AL, Ann had made Columbus her home for the past 60-plus years.  She enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends and family, and gardening.  At one time, she had over 1200 daylilies labeled in her yard and loved to share them with friends and family.  Hospitality could have been her middle name as she loved having company and sharing a delicious meal with anyone who wished to stay.  As the youngest of 7 children, she and her siblings learned the value of hard work at a very young age, having grown up during the depression.  Her love for her family was only surpassed by her love for her Lord and Savior. She made it a point in life to share her love for God with anyone.  She made sure that her children grew up in the Word and would be at Church anytime the doors were open.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Clark and Keith Barksdale; sons, Bobby Clark and John Clark; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Clark and a host of siblings and other relatives.

She is survived by her sons, Charlie Clark and Bill Clark (Kathy); her bonus daughter, Charlotte Browning (Danny); grandchildren; Robert Clark (Angela), Kevin Clark (Angela), Brian Clark (Amy), Neal Clark (Jess) and Chris Clark (Megan); great-grandchildren; Sarah Clark, Colton Clark, Landon Clark, Jett Klopfenstein, and Preston Vaughn.

The family would like to extend a large heartfelt measure of gratitude for the personal care and love shown to Ann from the entire staff of Trinity Personal Care.
