Anne Harris, 89, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, at her residence.

Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Lowndes Funeral Home with services to follow at 4:00 with Rev. Sammy Crawford officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris was born in February 1932 in Pickens County, AL to Juanitia Cooper Atkins and Oakley Atkins. She married C.F. Harris in December of 1953. She retired from Columbus Light and Water Department as office manager in June 1994 after 39 years. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Her family was the love of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one brother Harold Atkins. She is survived by one daughter, Jen (Rex) Prescott; two grandchildren, Meredith (Allen) Greenhaw, and Blake (Chelsea) Prescott; five great-grandchildren, Reagan Greenhaw, Cale Greenhaw, Brantley Prescott, Addy Grace Prescott, and Braylen Griffith; two brothers, Kellum Atkins, and Larry (Cammie) Atkins; two sisters, Nell Trapp, and Barbara (Scott) Murrah; stepchildren, C.F.  (Cammile)Harris, Jr., Peggy Barksdale, Joyce (Dale) Lowe, Shirley (Charles) Stanley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Cooper Ashcraft, Brantley Prescott, Allen Greenhaw, C.F. Harris, Jr., Fred Henry, and Phil Atkins. Honorary pallbearers will by Charles Stanley, Dr. James Woodard, Dr. Bart Williams and staff of Liberty Heart, Dr. Robert Borden, Bob Grondin, Rae Ann Ingram, Brittany Whitside, and Richard Watkins.
