Annette Butler, 67, of Columbus, MS, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 3, 2016, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating. Private Family Graveside Services will follow at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, Vernon, AL.

Mrs. Butler was born July 22, 1948, to the late Troy "Dude" and Jane Whitehead Baughn in Sulligent, AL. She moved from Sulligent to Columbus in 1967, where she was a building draft person at CECO for 11 years. Mrs. Butler was also a very active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. She enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, yard sales and flea markets, and enjoying life.

Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband-Thurston Butler, Columbus, MS; sons-David (Dr. Paul Beane) Butler, New Orleans, LA and Paul (Malinda) Butler, Columbus, MS; sister-Jannette "Cricket" Dubose, Sulligent, AL; brother-Michael Baughn, Sulligent, AL; and grandchild-Rob Griffin.

Pallbearers will be Randall DuBose, Casey Baughn, Courtney Baughn, Clayton Johnson, Rob Griffin, and Bo Cummins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Holloway's Sunday School Class from Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
