Obituary

Annie Lorine Wright Camp, 96, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT in Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2015 from 10am-11am at Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 11am in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Walter Butlter officiating and Bro. P.J. Mortensen assisting. Graveside Services will be at Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Calhoun County, MS with Bro. Scott Samuell officiating. Interment will be in Turkey Creek Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Camp was born February 23, 1919 to the late Arcut Stokes and Susan Ada Richard in Calhoun County, MS. She was married to the late Ervin Camp for 56 years. She was a homemaker most of her life but later worked at Big Yank and Holley Carburetors Co. in Water Valley, MS. She and her husband loved the Lord and were faithful members of the Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Calhoun County. Most Sunday afternoons you would find them singing and playing gospel music at the local nursing homes. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by six brothers-Howard Wright, Buford, Estes Wright, Weston Wright, Woodrow Wright, and Talmage Wright; one sister-Lillie Mae Raley; one son-Jerry E. Camp; and a granddaughter-Nancy Redwine Malone. Mrs. Camp is survived by one daughter-Anne (John) Camp Redwine, Columbus, MS; two grandsons-Steven (Hope) Redwine, Marietta GA and Paul (Stacey) Redwine, League City, TX; three granddaughters-Teresa (Andy) Perkins, Tammy (Ray Ed) Crawford and Lisa Moorhead, Oxford, MS; Fourteen great-grand childrenLauren Moorhead, Jeremy Moorhead, Andrew Moorhead, Will Moorhead, Marlee Crawford, Jacob Crawford, Allison Perkins, Amy Redwine, Lori Cothran, Haley Kimbrough, Meghan Redwine, Caitlyn Redwine, Stephanie Redwine and Tiffany Wilson; four great-great grandchildren- Taylor, Brennen, Claire, and Gracie; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Andy Perkins, Taylor Keene, Danny Malone, Jeremy Moorhead, Ray Ed Crawford, and Adam Meeks. Memorials may be made to Turkey Creek Cemetery Fund, 1386 Hwy 32, Water Valley, MS 38965.
