Louise Phillips Gray Faust, 83 of Columbus, MS formerly of Starkville, MS went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2012. Funeral services will be held at Fairview Baptist Church on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 2 PM, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Mickey Dalrymple will be officiating, with Rev. Sammy Crawford assisting. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 pm at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Starkville, MS. Mrs. Faust was born June 17, 1929 in Starkville, MS to the late William Porter and Annie Ada Hollingsworth Phillips. She was born into a loving and caring family who always remained close, sharing many happy and wonderful times. Mrs. Faust loved the Lord and was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church in Columbus. She was a member of the WMU Missionary Union, choir, and was instrumental in organizing the senior citizens activities at Calvary Baptist Church, Starkville, MS. Mrs. Faust also taught a Sunday School Class in each church she attended. Mrs. Faust was active in civic organizations where she was a member of the Eastern Star #73, Starkville, MS, leader of a Brownie Scout Troop, Starkville, MS, Rebecca Lodge, Starkville, MS and Starkville Civic League. She served on the Oktibbeha County Library Board and served as an Alderwoman for town of Sturgis during the few years she resided in Sturgis, MS. During the 1970's, Mrs. Faust was the owner of Country Thyme Gifts and Antiques in Starkville, MS as well as other antiques businesses throughout the years. She was a member of several bridge clubs and taught bridge lessons. Mrs. Faust was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husband-John Franklin Gray, infant daughter-Annie Denise Gray, brothers- William Porter Phillips, Walter Ellis (Skeeter) Phillips, James Porter Phillips, nephew-Glen Phillips and niece-Jennifer Rafcliff. Mrs. Faust is survived by her husband Jim Faust, Columbus, MS, daughter-Sheila Gray(Glen)Flurry, Starkville, MS, grandson- William "Bill" (Kameron) Ball , Madison, MS, granddaughter- Shelley Flurry (Dave) Hollan, Augusta, GA, great grandchildren- Conner Beth Ball, William Ball, Mary Phillips Hollan, John Hollan, Gray Hollan and James Hollan, step-daughters- Angie(Mike) Staten, New Albany, MS, Patti (Barney) Daly, Madison, MS, step-grandchildren-Matt (Ellen) Staten, Luke Staten, Morgan Daly and Hannah Daly, brother- Lee Roy (Pat) Philllips, Starkville, MS, Dell Ratcliff Heck, Fayetteville, AR, Pauline Delivorias Hudson, San Destin, FL and Betty (Robert) Harbor, McClain,VA. Pallbearers are Bill Phillips, Lee Phillips, Steve Phillips, Bubba Gray, Billy Gray and Phillip Delivorias. Honorary Pallbearers are Baptist Hospice, Nurses of the West Wing at Trinity Healthcare, Dr. Susan Taylor and Dr. Michael Duckworth. After the graveside service family and friends are invited to the home of Sheila and Glen Flurry, 100 Heritage PL, Starkville, MS.
