Annie Ruth Pridmore Ponds, 93, of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Trinity Healthcare in Columbus, MS.
A family only graveside will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Beersheba Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Rev. Tim Lee officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Ponds was born February 3, 1927 in Pickens County, AL to the late Noland and Annie Pearl Hughes Pridmore. She graduated from New Hope High School in Columbus, MS in May of 1947 and married Kirby C. Ponds in May of 1947. She was a book keeper for 45 years having worked at Mississippi Wholesale Hardware, West and Sons, City Electric, Derden Carpet and Industrial Fabricators. Mrs. Ponds enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, traveling, cooking, landscaping and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband- Kirby Ponds; son- Ronnie Ponds; daughter in law- Joyce Ponds; grandchild- Lee Ann Bosman; brother- Hughes Preston Pridmore and sister- Lorene Thrasher.
Mrs. Ponds is survived by her daughters- Cynthia (Jimmy) Wilkinson and Lisa (Jay) Hodson of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Neal (Shan) Wilkinson, John Wilkinson, Trey Hodson, Aaron (Mikenzie) Hodson, Anna Hodson, Delane Bosman; great grandchildren- Maggie Wilkinson, Cason Wilkinson, Titus Hodson; brother- Hubert Pridmore and sister- Atlas Boyer.
Pallbearers will be Delane Bosman, Neal Wilkinson, John Wilkinson, Trey Hodson, Aaron Hodson, Cason Wilkinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be staff of Trinity Healthcare and Trinity Personal Care, New Hope Class of 1947.
