Annie Erle Winkle, 91, of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at her residence.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Young officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Winkle was born May 30, 1927, in Bessemer, AL to the late Erle and Simmie Edins Herrmann. She has lived in this area for the past 3 years having moved from Foley, AL. Mrs. Winkle attended Sovereign Faith Baptist Church in Steens, MS. She was an accountant for Jim Walter Resources and retired in 1977 after 25 years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband- William "Bill" Winkle and sister- Doris Graffo.

Mrs. Winkle is survived by her daughter- Terri (Charles) Green of Columbus, MS; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
