Obituary

Anthony Davis, 73, of Columbus, MS, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at State Line Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. Service will be Friday, August 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at State Line Baptist Church in Columbus, MS, with Bro. Robert Gillis officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS entrusted with all arrangements.

Anthony was born November 22, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Walter Thomas Davis, Sr. and Lila Mae Riggins Davis. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving 22 -1/2 years. After retiring, he continued working with M1 Services in the ammunition field until his passing. He was a member of State Line Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Elder. In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his wife, Roxana A. St. Rose Davis; sisters, Marilyn Davis Holmes, Rosa Lee, Patricia, Minnie, and Mamie; brothers, Martin “Rommie”, Walter, Jr., Alphonso, and Carlos.

Anthony is survived by his stepchildren, Jehiel Augusto St. Rose, and Kymasira Kymaura St. Rose; one grandchild, siblings; Janice Robinson, James A. Davis, Sr., Theodore Davis, Helen Davis Bailey, and Robbie Lee Davis Ward; host of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Marilyn Watson; very special, Sabrina Kye Bates; and best friends, Gerald Clawson, Gail Westberry; and extended family at Stateline Baptist Church.
