Anthony Underwood, 53, of Columbus, MS passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at his residence.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2018, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Rowan Cemetery.

Mr. Underwood was born October 30, 1965, in Columbus, MS to Virgie McDill and the late Charles William Underwood.  He had a big personality and was always there for others. He was a jokester, loved fishing and was a huge Alabama football fan. He was a doting grandfather who was known as "Paw Paw Wood" to his grandkids. Loved by all of his family he was their favorite "Pest" and was known as a "Mama's Boy".

Mr. Underwood is survived by his mother- Virgie McDill; 3 daughters- Ashley (Patrick) Pearson, Amanda Underwood, Leighann Underwood, sister-Theresa (Timmy Sudduth) White; brother-Charles Ronald (Melonie) Underwood; grandchildren- Ethan Welch, Madelyn Underwood, Hayden Jackson, Thomas Pearson; neices-Brandy Sanders, Claudia Underwood, Kathrine Truex, Theresa Stockman, Priscilla White and a host of extended family.
