A.V. White, 83 of Caledonia, MS passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at his residence. Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2013 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Jacob Elliott officiating. Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, directing. Mr. White was born August 25, 1929 in Lamar County, Alabama to the late William and Mary White. He retired in 1982 after working as a mechanic for Columbus Butane. Mr. White enjoyed tinkering, working on things and gardening. Mr. White is survived by his wife-Nellie Faye Jordan White, Caledonia, MS; sons-Charles (Rene') White, Nettleton, MS and Randle (Janet) White, Vernon, AL; sisters- Dixie Nichols, Columbus, MS and Bonnie Jordan, West Point, MS; brother-G.C. White, Lackey, MS; grandchildren- Chris (Amanda) White, Ben(Bailey Young) White, Skipper (Megan) White, LaShae (Jake Fowler) White and Casey White; great grandchildren- Hunter, Kobe, Addy and Easton. Pallbearers will be Chris White, Ben White, Skipper White, Jake Fowler, Casey White and Matt Christian. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Smith and Rubel Whitaker.
