Barbara Gibson Bonds, 82 of Deatsville, AL passed away, Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, AL.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Ethelsville, AL. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with Lynn Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Tabernacle Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Bonds was born July 30, 1934, to the late Harold Lynwood and Hattie Mae Carpenter Gibson in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Alexandria, AL and Rebekah Assemblies. She retired in 2011 as an insurance agent. She was an avid supporter of her children and grandchildren's activities, i.e. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Stephen D. Lee Band Boosters, Softball, Soccer, Baseball, Cheerleader and Football. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bonds was preceded in death by her husband – James Paul Bonds, Sr.
Mrs. Bonds is survived by her daughter – Debi (Larry) Jones, Deltona, FL and Pam (Hebo) Pritchett, Columbus, MS; son – Jim (Becky) Bonds, Deatsville, AL; brother – Lynn (Pam) Gibson; grandchildren – Krystal Jones, Chase Bonds, Bryan (Lianne Lettera) Jones, A.J. Bonds, Tyler (Kelsey) Jones, Dylon Pritchett, Carley (Austin) Scanlan, Jordan Pritchett and Taylor Pritchett; great-grandchildren – Kayden Fox, Waverly Jones and Cade James Scanlan.
Pallbearers will be Chase Bonds, Bryan Jones, A.J. Bonds, Austin Scanlan, Tyler Jones and Dylon Pritchett; honorary pallbearers will be Todd Gibson , Toby Rickert and Trey Poole.
