Barbara Ellen Gregory Barbara Ellen Gregory, 75 of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, July 27 at Windsor Place at Plantation Pointe. Visitation for Mrs. Gregory will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held following visitation at 10:30 a.m. in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Raymond Spann officiating. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Gregory was born August 25, 1935 in Sullivan, IL to the late Charles Lucas and Viola Lillian Walton Riley. She was a resident of Columbus, MS for the past 47 years having moved from Philadelphia, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Gregory is preceded in death by her husband - Elvis Coy Gregory. Mrs. Gregory is survived by her daughter – Cheryl (Robert) Davis, Columbus, MS; sons – Roger (Dawn) Gregory, Columbus, MS; Randal (Margaret) Gregory, Memphis, TN; Charles (Rita) Gregory, Columbus, MS; Darrell (Paula) Gregory, Columbus, MS; one sister – Donnie Rickey, Findley, IL; two brothers – James Riley, Findley, IL; Ed Riley, Sullivan, IL and fourteen grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice.
