Barbara Sue Handley, 80 of Steens, MS passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Windsor Place, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday March 12, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A memorial service will follow in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Gardener officiating.

Mrs. Handley was born April 27, 1941, in Mississippi to the late George Peacock and Louise Woods Peacock.  She was a member of Cornerstone Church, Steens, MS.  Mrs. Handley was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Handley was preceded in death by her husband – Carl Dean Handley; son – Chris Handley; daughter – Bonnie York;  great-grandchild – Kai Sansing; brothers – Cecil Peacock and Gerald Peacock; sisters – Frances Dorroh, Margie Fason and Lazell Green.

Mrs. Handley is survived by her son – Ray Handley; daughter-in-law – Gina Handley; son-in-law – Frank York; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sister – Janice Peacock and brother – George Peacock.
