Barbara Ann Pritchett

Barbara Ann McCrary Pritchett, 78 of Ethelsville, AL passed away, Monday, July 11, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2016, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Dr. Bill Hurt officiating.  Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Pritchett was born April 21, 1938, to the late John Henry and Ila Mae Swedenburg McCrary in Reform, AL.  She married Otis Truman Pritchett on May 21, 1955, and together they lived in numerous places due to his United States Air Force career.  They moved to Ethelsville, AL in 1971 after Mr. Pritchett's retirement.  Mrs. Pritchett was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS and retired from United Technologies.  She enjoyed fishing, bird watching and reading and most of all loved spending time with her husband and family.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pritchett was preceded in death by her brother – David McCrary.

Mrs. Pritchett is survived by her husband of 61 years – Otis Truman Pritchett, Ethelsville, AL; daughters – Terry (Tom) Thompson, Columbus, MS, Charlotte (Bob)  Masek, Murfreesboro, TN, Pam (John) Pevey, Columbus, MS and Sharon (Scott) Warf, Murfreesboro, TN; sister – Brenda (Billy) Jones; brothers – Kenneth ( Alice) Perrigin, Keith (Julie) Perrigin, Robert (Carol) McCrary, Raymond McCrary; sister in law – Sandy McCrary and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Wes Carlisle, Steve Masek, Jason Stricklin, Blake Holliman, Larry Stokes and Keith Pritchett.  Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Mack McCrary, Herbert Junkin Sunday School Class  and Bill Doss Sunday School Class.
