Obituary

Beatrice "Bea" Eads 93, of Columbus, MS, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 2:00 PM -3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Services will be Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Junior Eads and Bro. Robert Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Beersheba Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Eads was born October 14, 1929, in Columbus, MS, to the late John Alva Payne, Sr. and Christine Lockler Payne. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for 59 years. Mrs. Eads loved writing poetry and stories. Mrs. Eads was a great homemaker, cook, and enjoyed quilting. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eads is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years- Roy Cleave Eads, two brothers, and five sisters.

Mrs. Eads is survived by her daughters- Brenda Williamson and Debbie (Robert) Vest; sons- Mike (Lisa) Eads, Ken Eads, and John Eads; eleven grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.

Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
