Benny Morris Robertson, age 76, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, at his residence.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Robertson was born on March 31, 1942, in Bolivar County, MS to the late R.C. and Willie Richardson Robertson. He worked as a maintenance planner for General Motors Parts Distribution Center for over 38 years. He loved to go hunting and fishing. Mr. Robertson really loved being outdoors. He loved his family dearly, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters- Garvis Gwathney, Cleo Robertson, Hazel Horne, J.C. Robertson, Fred Robertson, Jr. Robertson, Roy Robertson, and Doyle Robertson.

Mr. Robertson is survived by his loving wife of 55 years- Laura Kennedy Robertson of Columbus, MS; his three daughters- Sheila Robertson, Sonja (Jamie) Crabtree, and Patricia (Jeff) Bedtka; sisters- Bonnie Mejia, and Margie Hart; brothers- Bobby Robertson, and Cecil Robertson; grandchildren- Benjamin Keathley, Ryan Keathley, and Nicholas Bedtka; and 6 great-grandchildren.
