Bertha Lee Kennington, 56 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A memorial service will be Friday, July 23, 2021, at 4:00 P.M.  in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed Knox officiating.  A visitation time will be one hour prior to the service.

Ms Kennington was born October 17, 1964, to the late Clyde and Lorene Sims Hayes in Columbus, MS.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  Ms Kennington enjoyed arts and crafts of all kinds especially crocheting, making jewelry, drawing, and wood burning.  She also enjoyed reading.

Ms Kennington is survived by her daughters – Heather Merrigan and Monica Lippman; sister – Brenda McAlister and brothers – Mike Hayes and Bruce McAlister.
