Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Tippett, 69, of Columbus, MS passed away at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2022, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Breck Ladd officiating and Bro. Tommy Gillon assisting. Interment will be in Barton Baptist Cemetery in Lucedale, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Tippett was born in Lucedale, MS on December 24, 1952, to the late Von Ray and Mary Agatha Hempstead Dungan.  She was an avid painter and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Tippett is survived by her husband – Willard Gene Tippett; children – John Christopher Thomas, Pamela Nicole Vayda, Sharon Rosemarie Lipsey, Karon Jenette Davis, and Kelly Jerome Tippett; grandchildren – Jessica Christine Davis, Rhodes Catherine Lipsey, Madeliene Grace Cruse, Emma Claire Cruse, Landon Alan Vayda, Makaylee Elizabeth Thomas, Abigail Elizabeth Cruse, Chaz Stephen Farrar III, and Jonathan Conner Farrar; and sister – Wanda Rebecca Hembree.
