Bettie Joe Kendrick, 73 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.
A visitation will be Sunday, February 20, 2022, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will be Monday, February 21, 2022, at 10:00 in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matt Moehring officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Kendrick was born August 2, 1948, in Columbus, MS to the late Elbert Len Hallman, Jr. and Margie White Hallman. She retired from United Technologies after 22 years as an assembly line worker. Mrs. Kendrick enjoyed many hobbies during her retirement, including antiquing, cooking, and decorating. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kendrick was preceded in death by her husband – Jerry Kendrick; daughter – Cathy Adams; 1 sister, and 3 brothers.
Mrs. Kendrick is survived by her son – James Earl (Jennifer) Coleman, Jr., Birmingham, AL; daughters – Patricia (Quince) Stewart, West Point, MS Debra (Ricky) Stewart, West Point, MS and Tracy (Beau) Wyman, Columbus, MS; brothers – Wayne Hallman, Florida, James Hallman of Heidelberg, Germany; sisters – Linda Hallman, Columbus, MS, and Helen Hallman, Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren – Catherine Goff, Tuscaloosa, AL, Joshua Smith, Steens, MS, Andrew Smith, Columbus, MS, Brittany Turnipseed, Tuscaloosa, AL, Brian Turnipseed, West Point, MS, Allen Stewart, West Point, MS, Krissy Stewart, West Point, MS, Zachary Coleman, Birmingham, AL, and Charles Coleman, Birmingham, AL; also numerous great-grandchildren.
