Betty Helen Beasley Betty Helen Beasley, 66 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 7pm in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Ray officiating. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2 PM at Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC; Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Beasley was born July 2, 1944 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Lonnie and Pauline Jarrard Thomason and she had seven brothers and six sisters in her family. She was a resident of Columbus, MS for the past 30 years having moved from Longview, Washington. Mrs. Beasley was a homemaker, enjoyed making purses, cooking and sewing. She was a member of McBee Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Beasley is survived by her husband of 46 years – James Earl Beasley, Columbus, MS; sons – Damon (Michelle) Beasley, Caledonia, MS; Darren (Dee Dee) Beasley, Columbus, MS; daughter – Ann Wood, Aiken, S.C.; sister – Lois Owens, Columbus, MS; brothers – Herbert Thomason, Aiken, S.C.; Donald Jones, Hattiesburg, MS; grandchildren – Macy and Logan Beasley and Darian and James Micheal Beasley. Pallbearers will be Damon Beasley, Darren Beasley, James Beasley, Anthony Barton, Dennis Barton and Donald Jones. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dr. Wail Alnas. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis, 1907 Dunbarton Drive, Suite C, Jackson, MS 39216 or McBee Baptist Church Building Fund, 2846 Hwy 50 E., Columbus, MS 39702.
