Betty Neal Crowe, 91, met her Savior face to face, on July 26, 2025. She was born on October 9, 1933 in Okolona, MS to the late John Edward and Cora Neal.

Marrying her high school sweetheart, Buford Crowe, on June 22, 1952, Betty was blessed with three children, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A devoted mother and wife, she embodied self-sacrificing and unconditional love with her family as she lived the example of the Proverbs 31 woman.  She cultivated her home with hard work and dedication to gardening, cooking, baking, and was an exceptional seamstress.

Betty faithfully loved God and was an active member of East End and then McBee Baptist Church. While she was able, she ministered to others through Women's Mission Union, teaching children's Sunday School, adult choir, and Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes.

Betty touched many lives near and far through simple acts of faithful service to the Lord, day after day, year after year. She will be missed dearly.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband – Buford Crowe; and brothers – John Edward Neal, Clarence Neal, Harold Neal, and Charles Neal.

She is survived by her children – Becky McKinney, Donny (Lori) Crowe, and Jan (Alan) Gorman; grandchildren – Shannon Russell, Hilary Delling, Katie Cabay, Josh Crowe, Brandi Crowe, Joseph Gorman, and Julianna Thompson; great-grandchildren – Luke Russell, Matthew Russell, Callen Cabay, Avery Crowe, Eli Gorman, Lucy Gorman, Kate Gorman, and Gabe Thompson; sisters-in-law – Brenda Crowe and Tommie Neal Moll; and many nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at McBee Baptist Church in Columbus.

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff who cared for her at Trinity Health Care, and a special thanks to her Trinity Retirement friends for all the good times and fond memories.
