Betty Waltman Kennedy, 65 of Caledonia, MS passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 12 – 1 pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Jimmy Banks officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home , Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Kennedy was born November 18, 1947 in Biloxi, MS to the late Everett and Bonnie Moss Waltman. She was a lifetime resident of Columbus and she attended Lighthouse Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Kennedy loved reading, quilting, cooking and spending time with family. She is also preceded in death by a son, Donnie Kennedy and a brother, Jimmy Waltman. Mrs. Kennedy is survived by children, Lynn K. (Jeff Wagner) Langford, Winterhaven, FL, Rodney Kennedy, Hamilton, MS, David (Allison Lamar)Kennedy, Steens, MS and Becky Kennedy Herrin, Hixson, TN, siblings, Freddy (Cindy) Ames, OK, Sandra (Mitch) Vause, Florence, SC, Francis (Albert)Waltman, Ocean Springs, MS, Kay ( J.C.) Cowan, Crestview, FL, Charles Waltman, Malvern, AR, Ruth (Lloyd) Stone, Gulfport, MS, Delia(Ozzie) Bond, Caledonia, MS and Judy ( Joel) Meadow, Muscle Shoals, AL, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
