Betty Jean Ruffin, 84, of Tuscaloosa, AL passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Forest Manor Health and Rehab.

A graveside service will be Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Bro. Tommy Gillon officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Ruffin was born on January 29, 1937, in Lamar County, AL to the late Mabel Sprouse Wallace and Dan Wallace. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and worked for United Technologies as a assembly worker for many years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ruffin is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Mayo Ruffin; son, Billy Fowler; and brother, Howard Wallace.

Mrs. Ruffin is survived by her daughters, Mitzi (Michael) Carter of Northport, AL, and Karen Conklan grandchildren, Melissa Carter, Christy Brackin, Len Brackin, and Matthew (Melanie) Carter; 6 great-grandchildren;2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Perkins.

Pallbearers will be Mike Shelton, Mearl Sims, Matthew Carter, Michael Carter, Ethan Carter, and Len Brackin.
