Beverly Jean Callender, 64, of Caledonia, MS, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at her residence.
Visitation will be Monday, March 23, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Caledonia United Pentecostal Church in Caledonia, MS. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 23, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Caledonia United Pentecostal Church in Caledonia, MS with Bro. Grant Mitchell officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS entrusted with all arrangements.
Mrs. Callender was born on September 25, 1961, in Booneville, MS, to Esther Burcham Switcher and the late Rev. James Richardson. She married Jesse Callender on December 28, 1993, in Corinth, MS. Mrs. Callender was presently employed with Jesse and Beverly’s Lawn Service. She was a member of Caledonia United Pentecostal Church in Caledonia, MS. Mrs. Callender loved gardening and spending time with her family. She enjoyed shopping, keeping up with her husband Jesse, and her daughter, Tasha. Mrs. Callender loved talking on the phone with her sister Tammy every day. In addition to her father, Mrs. Callender is preceded in death by her son, Tony Wayne Hayden, brother, Terry Richardson, and stepfather, Bill Switcher.
Mrs. Callender is survived by her husband, Jesse Callender; children- Tasha Michelle Hayden, Mike Callender (Doris), Charles Callender (Shea), and David Callender (Angie); siblings- Tammy Gann (Thomas) and Jimmy Richardson (Patricia); grandchildren- Aleah Mooney (Cade), Colton Fox, Dakota McCravy (Caitlyn), Kaitlin Bishop, Savannah Callender, Kaleigh Youngblood (Dean), and Hannah Messer (Justin); great grandchildren- Knox McCravy, Landeyn Messer, and one on the way- Greyson Mooney.
Pallbearers will be- Timmy Richardson, Wesley Gann, Houston Mooney, Cade Mooney, Colton Fox, and Dakota McCravy. Honorary Pallbearers will be- Cody Richardson, Thomas Gann, Jimmy Richardson, Charles Callender, Mike Callender, and David Callender.
