William "Billy" Edward Harris, Jr. passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his residence.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating. There will be a private graveside following with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Harris was born January 24, 1960, In Orlando, Florida, to William Edward Harris, Sr. and Eloise Hopper Harris Jorgenson. He was of Baptist faith and was a member of Mt. Vernon in Columbus, MS. Mr. Harris worked at Tronox/Omnova for a combined 30 years as an operator. He loved his family. Mr. Harris loved golfing, Auburn Athletics, trying new hot peppers, sitting back listening to music, and having his cold beer.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife Karen Humbers Harris; children- Natasha Powell (Clint), and Chelsey Harris; sister- Debbie Guyton (Dedar Dollar); brothers- Jimmy Harris (Betty), and Ricky Harris (Lisa); 3 grandchildren- Gracie Kyle, Taylor Kyle, and Breeley Kyle.
Pallbearers will be Clint Powell, Dusty Goodwin, Carson Forrester, Darryl Pennington, Mitch Snider, and Danny Thorton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Harris and Jimmy Harris.
