William "Billy" Lewis Edwards, Jr. , 68, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at his residence.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church, Columbus, MS. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church with Father Robert Dore officiating. Interment will be in Beersheba Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Edwards was born October 4, 1947 to the late William Lewis Edwards, Sr. and the former Olene Dawkins in Starkville, MS. He was a manager in the grocery business for 45 years. Mr. Edwards was an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church, longtime member of Columbus Country Club and  Elm Lake Golf Course; and he faithfully attended the 12 Man Supper Club, Chitterling Club, The Man Cave Club, and the Ranch House Breakfast Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather-J.C. Chain; and aunt-Lucille Dawkins.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife-Brenda Gospodinovich Edwards, Columbus, MS; daughter-Jessica (Dustin) King, Booneville, MS; son-William "Will" (Amanda) Edwards, III, Columbus, MS; grandchild-Madison Edwards; brother-Anthony (Michelle Poteet) Chain; stepbrothers-James (Barbara) Chain and Michael (Brenda) Chain; aunt- Louise Stewart Edwards; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Clint Hanson, Clint Dean, Jamie Baucom, Jonathan Wright, Wayne Parker, Dale Pumphrey, Danny King, and Marcus Stone. Honorary Pallbearers will be  The Man Cave Crew and The Ranch House Breakfast Club, Willie Menotti, and Fred Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to The Society of  St. Vincent de Paul Serving the Poor of the Community or Annunciation Catholic Church Building Fund.
