Billy Ray Lawson, 87, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT

Visitation will be Friday, November 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 12:00 PM with Bro. Dennis Pickens officiating. Interment will be in Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Lawson was born on August 21, 1934 in Vernon, AL to the late Luetta Lawson and Buster Lawson. He enjoyed playing BINGO, and listening to music. Mr. Lawson loved his children and grandchildren, and visiting all of his friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lawson is preceded in death by his wife- Dottie Lue Taylor Lawson.

Mr. Lawson is survived by his daughters- Betsy (Wayne) McBride of Columbus, MS, Barbara (Tim) Mooney of Madison, MS, and Cathy (Bill) Eiland of Marboro, MD; son- William (Dawn) Brown of Michigan City, IN; grandchildren- Kristipher Padden, Candise Padden, Trey McBride, Bethany McBride, Coen Mooney, Kenize Mooney, Jennifer Brown and Scotty Brown; greatgrandchildren- Finnley Padden, Cameron Brown,  Savanna Brown, Karly Brown, Lorelia Brown, Lily Brown; great-great-grandchildren- Miles Brown, and Freya Brown; brothers- Eugen Lawson, Tommie Lawson, and Willie Lawson; and sister- Jesse Tunstall.

Pallbearers will be Krisitpher Padden, Coen Mooney, Trey McBride, Tim Mooney, Wayne McBride and Bill Eiland.
