Billy Ray Reynolds Billy Ray Reynolds, 77 of Steens, MS passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation was held Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services were held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 10 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Walter Butler officiating. Interment was in Furnace Hill Cemetery, Vernon, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Reynolds was born March 11, 1933 in Lamar Co., AL to the late Edward and Millie Stapp Reynolds. He was a lifetime resident of Lowndes County, MS. Mr. Reynolds was a retired truck driver and liked fishing and woodworking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Reynolds and sister, Verlene Richards. Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Gerthlene Pennington Reynolds, Steens, MS; son, Jerry Ray (Sandra) Reynolds, Steens, MS; daughter, Patricia Reynolds Gilmore, Caledonia, MS; sisters, Earline Reynolds Underwood, Steens, MS; Betty Ray Anderson, Caledonia, MS; Janette Reynolds, Vernon, AL; Joyce Faye Alred, Glen, MS; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Josh Gilmore, Khris Monahan, Israel Sudduth, Josh Westbrook, Ben Murphy and Thomas Brown. Honorary pallbearers were the men of Bethel Baptist Church, Dr. Bart Williams, Dr. Lance Busch Dr. Chris Lebrun, Dr. Robert Dill and Dean Green.
