Billy Norris Wheat, 75, of Caledonia, MS passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016, at his residence.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Millport, AL. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. David Westmoreland officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Millport, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Wheat was born August 11, 1941, to the late Edgar and Virgie Baines Wheat in Steens, MS. He moved back to the area 15 years ago from Greenwood, MS. Mr. Wheat was a truck driver for over 50 years, and he attended Border Springs Baptist Church. He loved being outdoors, mowing grass, horses, and fishing. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and he loved the Lord. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers, 6 sisters; son-Sean Lee Wheat; and son-in-law-Adam Morton.

Mr. Wheat is survived by wife-Lynora "Lynn" Wheat, Caledonia, MS; son-Ricky (Rebecca) Wheat, Vernon, AL; daughters-Ginger (Matt) Moehring, Louisville, MS; Angela (Willie) Smith, Caledonia, MS; and Cheryl Morton, Millbrook, AL; daughter-in-law-Kerry Wheat, Greenwood, MS; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Willie Smith, Matt Moehring, Brian Smith, A. J. Morton, Jonathan McDuffie, and Dustin Creel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sean Michael Wheat, Harold Partain, Bobby Fleming, Grant Fulton, Wayne Baines, Billy Joe Carroll, Garon Belk, Chase Larmour NP, Braydon Morton, Ethan Hester, and Phillip Bell.
