Blake was a lifelong resident of Caledonia and graduated from Caledonia High School in 2014, he entered the work force shortly after. He was a welder, a small engine mechanic, and presently worked for Knights Environmental.
Blake is survived by his mother Amy Gallop and step father Charles, his daughter Catherine Gordon, sisters; Carlie Lancaster (Trey), Ashlie Davis (TJ), step sisters Angie Blakeney (Rob), Pam Montgomery (Brad) grandmothers; Gail McDaniel, Jackie McDaniel and Myrtle Burke and his beloved dog Tramp. Nephews; Wesley Lancaster, Charlie Reece Davis and Tyler Montgomery, Niece’s; Taylor Montgomery, Harper and Hollyn Blakeney.
He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his father, Mitch Burke; his pawpaw’s Ted McDaniel and Charles Burke; his cousin Josh Stewart.
As a little boy Blake was timid and shy. He grew into a young man with the greatest sense of humor and made friends very easily. He had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He loved to play baseball and many weekends were spent watching him play. If he wasn’t playing ball he was hunting or fishing. Those three things are what he loved to do the most. As he went through his teenage years he begin to have struggles that followed him into adulthood but by the grace of God, in June of 2024, he asked Jesus into his heart. He made a huge impact on his family too, getting them all into church. Blake got the honor of baptizing his sister Carlie and was there for his mother’s, his sister Ashlie’s, and his brother-in-laws baptisms. Blake was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. He will especially be missed by his four-legged companion, Tramp. It was an understood rule of thumb that if Tramp wasn’t welcome, Blake couldn’t come either. There were two exceptions to that rule: church and work. Any other time, if you saw Blake you saw his dog riding shotgun right beside him. Blake loved Tramp fiercely and Tramp loved him just the same.
Blake is survived by his daughter, Catherine, who became part of his life in his final year and will forever hold a place in his family’s heart, she will always know what a kind hearted man her daddy was and how he loved the Lord.
Pallbearers will be Jake Stewart, Patrick McIntyre, Dakota Wright, Drake Griffin, Dustin Pitts, Trey Lancaster, TJ Davis, and Nick Gray.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Finch, Cody Johnson, Rooke Coleman, Jonathan Comer, Nick Cunningham, Mitch Bynum, Travis Jackson, Roy Keene, Trey Byars, and all of his work family at Knight’s Environmental.
