Bobby Bowen, 83, of Ackerman, MS, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in West Point, MS.

Visitation will be Monday, December 4, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Memorial Service will be Monday, December 4, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS with Rev. Walter Butler officiating.

Mr. Bowen was born on November 21, 1940, in Ackerman, MS, to the late J.D. Bowen and Ida Mae Cummings Bowen. He worked in construction for many years as a Brick Mason.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowen is preceded in death by his sons- Jeffie Dewayne Bowen, and Bobby Gene Bowen; and daughter- Sandy Atkins.

Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife – Shirley Linn Bowen; son- Jason (Brittany) Bowen; daughters- Brenda (Tim) Golden, Lisa Bowen, and Lynda (Gerald) Wilder, 7 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
