Bobby Harold Suggs, 80, of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, March 25, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2016, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Bro. Randy Tolleson officiating and Bro. Steve Lammons assisting at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Suggs was born January 5, 1936, to the late Clyde and Arvie Davis Suggs in Fayette, AL. He graduated from New Hope High School. On November 1, 1957, he married the former Bobbie Ann Croft at Longview Methodist Church, Longview MS. Mr. Suggs graduated in 1961 with a B.S. in Business and Transportation degree from Mississippi State University; and he was the Director of Transportation and Customer Service of North America for 38 years at Akzo Nobel. As a long time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS, Mr. Suggs served as a deacon, Sunday school superintendent, and on numerous committees. He was an avid fisherman, loved and enjoyed hunting; and he especially enjoyed coaching girls softball for his children.

Mr. Suggs is survived by his wife of 58 years-Bobbie Ann Croft Suggs, Columbus, MS; son-Ricky (Debbie) Suggs, Carrollton, MS; daughters-Elizabeth (Perry) Dawn Johnson, Houston, TX and Kim (Bill) Hurt, Columbus, MS; grandchildren-Ashley (Ken) Bowlin, Kristen Suggs, Mauri (Brandon) Murphy, Sydney Hurt, Tyler Hurt, Dallas Johnson, and sister-Shelby Field.

Pallbearers will be Ray Crane, Kenneth Custard, Jim Kibe, Bobby Brandon, Dick Rollins, Dale Enlow, David Dortch, Tommy Yates, and Trenton Sheffield. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School Class and Jim Richardson.
