Bonnie Piper Hilton Bonnie Piper Hilton, 84 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at Trinity Place - Columbus, MS. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15 from 9 - 11 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, December 15 at 2 PM at Freewill Baptist Cemetery, West Jefferson, AL with Bro. Kevin McDaniel officiating, and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Ms. Hilton was born May 7, 1927 in Palos, AL to the late Usery G. and Amelia Caton Piper. He lived in Columbus for seven years, having moved from Graysville, AL. Ms. Hilton retired in 1965 from the Social Security Administration. She was of the Baptist faith, and attended Caanan Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Ms. Hilton enjoyed a full life, loved going to Bingo with friends, and was an avid Nascar fan. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hilton is preceded in death by husband, Joe N. Hilton, daughter, Emily Jo Hilton, sisters, Doris Douglas, and Bennie Joyce Smith. She is survived by her sister Mary Nell Conner, Caledonia, MS, her extended family, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Leslie Smith, Donnie Smith, Ritchie Camp, Joshua Helton, Dan Berry and Ray Winders. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Divel, Charles Divel, Tommy Douglas, Lucas Smith, Eddie Holliday Jr., Bo Jarrett and the staff of Trinity Healthcare. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
