Bonny Sue York, 54, of Steens, MS passed away June 16, 2015, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Arrangements are entrusted to Lowndes Funeral Home. Mrs. York was born on July 26, 1960 in Columbus, MS to Carl Dean and Barbara Sue Peacock Handley. She held a Master's Degree in Nursing, and she was formerly employed as a registered nurse. She specifically loved the elderly and taking care of them. She was an auctioneer, played the piano, organ, and sang in many churches throughout her life. She is survived by her husband, Frank York of Steens; daughter, Brandy Gray of Columbus; two grandchildren; brothers, Chris Handley and Ray Handley; stepchildren, Frank York Jr. and James Chris (Brittany) York; and six step-grandchildren.
