Brenda Bell Brenda Jo Bell, 53 of Columbus, MS passed away, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at her residence. Visitation for Mrs. Bell will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Whitney officiating, Bro Steve Brown and Bro Doug Jones assisting. Mrs. Bell was born December 12, 1958 to the Carl H and Barbara Greenwood Jones in Jackson, AL. She moved to Columbus 25 years ago from Starkville, MS. Mrs. Bell was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Philadelphia, MS. She enjoyed growing flowers and playing bunko. Mrs. Bell retired in 2002 from Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle as Director of Volunteer Services. She loved her job working with all the volunteers. Mrs. Bell is survived by her Husband - Brent Bell, Columbus, MS, Son – James Derick Hatcher, Columbus, MS, Parents - Carl and Barbara Jones, Philadelphia, MS, Brother – Carl Douglas (Leslie) Jones, Quitman, MS and In-Laws – Fred and Fay Bell, Columbus, MS.
