Brenda Farley, 72, passed away on Monday; January 21, 2019, at her residence.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. from McDuffie Cemetery near Hamilton, MS. Cecil Pounders and Byron Harris will officiate, with Chris Clardy, Robbie Clardy, Todd Clardy, Zachary Farley, Brian Pounders, and Jeremy Pannell serving as pallbearers. Under the direction of Lowndes Funeral Home and Crematory.

Ms. Farley was born January 30, 1946, to the late Quinion and Irene Shephard Pounders. Born and raised in Mississippi, she also lived much of her life in Indiana. Ms. Farley was the Matriarch of her family, a wonderful and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She attended Zion Assembly Church of God. Ms. Farley enjoyed the outdoors and nature, she especially admired birds. She and had a love of flowers and her green thumb carried over into a passion for vegetable gardening. Being from such a large family, she had a very outgoing personality and was loved by all who knew her. Ms. Farley also enjoyed spending time with her sisters, going thrift store shopping and "Yard Sailing". Ms. Farley enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was a great cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: husband, John Farley; one son Johnnie Farley and two brothers Roger Pounders and "Moochie" Pounders.

She is survived by her children Jeff (Cindy) Farley, Theresa (Lonnie) Clardy, Adam Farley and Brandon (Cynthia) Farley; Grandchildren: Christopher Clardy, Robbie Clardy, Todd Clardy, Carrie Pannell, Samantha Farley, Rebecca Farley, Jasmine Farley, Zachary Farley and Skylar Farley; Ten Great Grandchildren; Sisters Helen Brackin, Elaine Ray and Anna Tofsrud; Brothers Bobby Pounders, Kenneth Pounders, Cecil Pounders, Jerry Pounders, Junior Pounders, Warren Pounders and Harold Pounders.
