Brenda Hunter, 73 of Millport, AL passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Generations of Vernon Nursing Home, Vernon, MS.

At Mrs. Hunter's request, there will be no services. Lowndes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hunter was born December 28, 1947, in Pickens County, AL to the late Gilbert J. and Anna Mitchell Baines.  She worked as an operator with Bellsouth for many years. She retired in 2011 from Regions bank where she was a bank teller.  Mrs. Hunter was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and the Shriners.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her husband – Max Ross Hunter, and sister – Gladys Porter.

Mrs. Hunter is survived by her daughter – DeeDee ( Roger) Shaw,  Millport, AL, grandchildren – Kendra (Bryer) Bolton and Michelle (Austin) Vice; great-grandchild – Brystol Kate Bolton and sisters – Linda Baines and Virginia Shepherd.
