Floyd Bruce Niswonger, 51, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Friday, August 28, 2015 from 3pm to 4pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Funeral Service will follow at 4pm in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Brown officiating. Graveside services will follow at Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Niswonger was born August 4, 1964 to the Victor Jones and Susan Niswonger in Michigan and married Sherry J. Niswonger in 1994. From the age of 17 he worked at McCarty Realty as a carpenter. Mr. Niswonger also worked in maintenance at Baptist Memorial-GT for 25 years. Bruce was a very hardworking, loving man. He did everything possible to provide for his family and never gave up. He will be truly missed by so many. We love you, Dad. He is preceded in death by a grandson-Graysen A. Kangas and brother-Abraham Holtzlander. Mr. Niswonger is survived by his wife-Sherry J. Umbel Niswonger; his parents-Victor Jones and Susan Niswonger; children-Dekota B. Niswonger, Sasha Y. (Kody A.) Kangas, Abraham David Allen Niswonger, and Kanzin S. Niswonger, all of Columbus, MS; sister-Melody Bixby; brothers-Doyle Holtzlander, and Aaron Holtzlander; grandchildren-Laken A. Niswonger, Paysen A. Kangas, Jace B. Niswonger, and Olivia F. Niswonger. Pallbearers will be Dekota Niswonger, Abraham Niswonger, Delynn Nance, Ronnie Hankins, David Umbel, and Kody Kangas. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Staff at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT and the McCarty Realty Family.
