Mr. Buford Earl Crowe, 88, of Columbus, MS, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle.

A graveside service for friends and family will be at Memorial Gardens, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM, with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Crowe was born July 19, 1934, to the late Walter Furman Crowe and Amy Harkin Crowe, in Fayette, AL.  He was a devoted member of McBee Baptist Church, who enjoyed spending time with his family.  Buford Crowe was a graduate of New Hope High School class of 1952.  He retired from Sander's Oil Company before working as a manager's assistant with Carl Hogan Chevrolet for many years.  Mr. Crowe also enjoyed being outdoors hunting & fishing, and go-kart racing.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters – Christine Brewer, Charlotte Burks, and Pat Belcher; and brothers Dennis Crowe and Jerry Crowe.

Buford Crowe is survived by his wife, Betty Neal Crowe; son – Donny (Lori) Crowe; daughters – Becky McKinney and Jan (Alan) Gorman; grandchildren – Shannon Russell, Hilary Delling, Katie Cabay, Joshua Crowe, Brandi Crowe, Joseph Gorman, and Julianna Thompson; Great-grandchildren – Luke Russell, Matthew Russell, Callen Cabay, Taylor Gowan, Dylan Guyton, Avery Crowe, Eli Gorman, Lucy Gorman, and Gabe Thompson; and brother – Woody (Brenda) Crowe.  The family would also like to offer their special thanks to the Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle Third Floor ICU doctors and nurses.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Crane Sunday School Class.
