Albert M. "Butch" Bell peacefully entered his heavenly home on January 12, 2023, after a long illness.

Visitation will be held at Lowndes Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 17 at 10:00 am. A celebration of life will follow at 11:00 am with Bro. Todd Stevens officiating. The interment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Columbus, MS.

To know Butch was to love Butch. He was known for being a jokester, and he absolutely loved making people laugh. He loved playing pool, geocaching, WWE wrestling, and spending time with his family. He was born on March 8, 1943, in Starkville, MS to his mother and father, Addie (Nancy) and Lee Roy Bell. He graduated from Lee High School in Columbus, MS in 1961. He retired from Medline in 2004, having held several positions in quality control. He was loved by countless friends, his loving church family at Mount Vernon Church, and many family members. He will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered for all the adventures he encountered in his lifetime. He made a huge impact on his children and grandchildren, who knew him as "Pop." He was kind, lighthearted, generous, and just an overall amazing man.

He is survived and adored by his loving wife of 59 years, Sylvia "June" (Hollis) Bell; his son - Jeff (Laure) Bell of Starkville, MS; his daughter - Kristin (Brian) Sidaway of Peoria AZ; his five grandchildren - Nicholas Bell, Patrick (Samantha) Bell, Ashley Sidaway, Christopher Bell, and Katelyn Sidaway; his sister – Patricia (Barry) Burkey; and his brother - Fred (Fay) Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings - Roy Bell and Jesse Bell.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Bell, Patrick Bell, Christopher Bell, Brian Sidaway, Darrin Michel, and Don Selzer.
