Carl D Coleman, 86 of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A memorial service will be Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 3:00 in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jamie Turner officiating.

Mr. Coleman was born March 27, 1937, to the late M.D. and Vernie Clemmons Coleman in Liberty, AL.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea and 3 tours in Vietnam.  In addition to his parents, Mr.  Coleman was preceded in death by his wife – Tine Coleman, and grandchild – Charlie Ford.

Mr. Coleman is survived by his sons – James M. Coleman and Don Coleman; daughter – Pat (David) McClunney; grandchildren – Lynn (Josh) Smith, Amy (JP) Pennington, Andy (Jodie) Ford, Jessica (Jordan) Basham, Megan (Red) McKee, Marissa Coleman, Haydn Coleman, Katie McClunney and Joe McClunney; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister – Liz Spencer.
