Carl Patrick Evans, 56 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 12, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Bob Wilbur officiating. Mr. Evans was born November 07, 1957 in Murfreesboro, TN. He worked for the city of Columbus Fire Department for 18 years and served as city Fire Marshal. Mr. Evans is preceded in death by his father-Allan Patrick Evans. Mr. Evans is survived by his mother-Katy Evans, Columbus, MS; sons- David Allan (Liant-Yin), Starkville, MS and Cody Evans, Columbus, MS; brother-Michael Allan Evans, Columbus, MS and a grandchild-Chloe Evans.
