Obituary

Carmen C. Armella Woodcock, 74 of Caledonia, MS passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Diveriscare, Amory, MS.

A visitation will be held on Friday; February 15, 2019 at 2:00pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00pm from Annunciation Catholic Church in Columbus.

Mrs. Woodcock was born June 27, 1944 in Columbia, South America. She moved to the US in 1981. After completing her education in Radiation Technology she worked at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. She met E6 Tech Sgt. Danny Woodcock in 1990 and they later married July 04, 1997. Ms. Woodcock worked for the US Air Force and was stationed in Taif, Saudi Arabia for over ten years, she also received accommodations as a Combat Medic during the Gulf War. She moved home to the Caledonia, MS area and continued her career as a Radiation Technologist at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle, until her battle with Alzheimer's forced her to retire in 2003. A loving wife, mother, sister and Friend, Mrs. Woodcock was a Catholic by faith, she also enjoyed travelling the world, with her most recent trip having been to Kenya.

She is survived by her husband Danny Woodcock; daughters SonChu Green of Las Vegas, NV, Deniece Woodcock of Detriot, MI and Sandra Raldsky of Maryland; her very special sister Cita Armella; Brother in Law Terry (Diane) Woodcock and Nephew Cameron Woodcock.

Mrs. Woodcock's family wishes to express their most sincere thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, aids, techs and staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital, Baptist Hospice, Legacy Hospice and Diversicare -Amory, also a special thanks to the caregivers assigned to Carmen: Katie Duke, Barbara Wells and Dolly Jones.
