Carolyn Jean White, 60 of Steens, MS passed away, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at her son's residence. Visitation for Mrs. White will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Mercy Church, Steens, MS. A memorial service will follow at 12:00. Lowndes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. White was born September 30, 1953 to Frances Laverne Bowen and the late Vernon Brown, Sr. in San Antonio, TX and lived in Columbus, MS most of her life. She married Paul White in 1969 and together they raised 5 children. Mrs. White retired in 2004 from Golden Triangle Concessions and a food service manager. She attended Mercy Church, Steens, MS. In addition to her father, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William Paul White. Mrs. White is survived by her mother - Frances Laverne Hood, daughters - Tammy (Richard) Harcrow and Tonya (Brian) Byrd, sons - William Paul (Gayle) White, III, Timothy (Becky) White and Frankie (Lyyanna) White, brothers - Vernon (Patricia) Brown, Jr. and John (Diana) Brown, 10 grandchildren - Cassey Harcrow, Richard Harcrow, Jr., Chris Harcrow, Allan Farley, Matthew White, Ethan White, Landon White, Brianna White, Paisley White and Carlos White, great-grand - Kailynn Hope Driver.
